I found this to be more useful than I thought. I have tended toward the two glass method (one "dirty" and one "clean". But I don't have a dedicated place to paint. These operate on the same principle as a pet water dish only on a small scale. What struck me was that these are much better than cups of water when there is the danger of a spill near electronics. In fact, these are much less prone to spills (though not immune) and can be set many places where a cup of water would simply not work. That said, they are the kind of plastic that is not hard to crack, so it's not a traveling solution. It comes will small smooth raised ridges in the rinsing well to make cleaning the brush a little easier, and includes holes for standing brushes upright. I don't like to stand my brushes upright though...I want as little as possible draining into the ferrules. I would prefer to see little slanted-horizontal holders along the sides. But now that I write that, I realize that the construction of the reservoir with a 3/4 inch deep lid means I can most likely make such a holder. All in all, a surprisingly helpful painting aide for someone like me without a dedicated painting space.
