For what we use it for, this little vac does a very good job! It has good suction, very useful flip-up crevice nozzle and brush roll attachment, good battery life (about 5-10 mins on full charge even after 3 years use!), durability and ease of use. I do miss the wall hanger/charger option some of the B&D and other more expensive vacs offer, but it can be worked around. The filter is easy to clean out and works well. The dust cup is a bit small and without a tool can be tricky to clean out at the tip, but you probably should dump one after every use anyway!We've been using ours nearly 4 years now--the longest running hand vac we've owned! There are more powerful vacs with more features and longer run time, but you pay twice the price and then the batteries often fail after a couple years and cannot be replaced (seems planned?). We definitely got our money's worth on a handy vac that does a good job! If you require a vac that does almost what an upright does, cleans a whole flight of carpeted steps, for large families, etc. then this may not quite do it, but for the average home this will do well!
