I bought this for a car that sits out in the sun all day every day. I was really impressed with how well this fit the windshield of my car. Very little sun gets in through the windshield when it's in place and it keeps the car noticeable cooler when I get in. The side opposite the silver side is black and when you put that side out in the wintertime the black absorbs the heat and makes the windshield easier to clean (unless there is no sun and then it doesn't make much of a difference).
